Cold and informal

A failed XC ski trip, icy roads/out of practice driving/trepidation were the numerous factors which led to mid-winter cycling.

Sure it was informal, sure I didn't wear my tights. Those are embarrassing for someone brought up mountain biking, and really the only reason to do it is for the pure pragmatism -i.e. wind, comfort, warmth and a bit of controlled package delivery.

Ok, so we took the easy path too. But really it wasn't that easy. It was a might windy.

Invigorating. I feel it was good for the constitution. Mustn't get too fledgetic in the colder months. circ. 1897

Also, fledgetic doesn't appear to be a word. There was no intended meaning here so, success. But can you see a meaning in made-up words, readers?
