Temperate

I'm in a funk, and this weather isn't helping. I'm not complaining about the weather. There are two presiding factors in my life right now. The desire to get out there and ride. I'm thinking 60 or 80 miles. I'm not sure where, but South sounds right. Into the pasture land and wine country. I don't care that nobody I know is even remotely interested in doing this, or capable. But here is the other issue, school.

I have to finish now. It's week 10 of the term system, and that means I have 1 day to finish this dance paper. And then about a week to finish two more papers, research involved papers, totaling on the order of 30 pages. Weak. I don't even need any class except Folk Dance of Africa and the Diaspora to graduate. Weird, huh? For an English major that is, and for a 22 year old male, that's weird too.

All I really want to be doing is to go for a damn ride out into the country. What's also stopping me is this funk. I'm tired mostly, I'm also not warm enough to ride comfortably. That is complaining, but poor circulation dictates poor motivation into the elements, and into spandex clothing.

Then there is the issue of next years housing. I need to find a place to live in Davis, CA. Grad school calls, but also a year off calls. What am I going to do? Ahh, this is what we call stress and floating off. I kind of feel like on of those books right now, that has staggered pages of varying length, so that on top you have a little short page, and you can see the page beneath it, and so on, with each page getting a little longer. Only for me those pages are little goals. Right now I'm on the page titled "Dance Final Exam," and I'm trying to finish up that paper. Underneath that are the two other papers, each with their own page.

But on to other issues, I heard from a friend that the Critical Mass was again jaspered by some Trotters this Friday. Unfortunate. Treat it as a super-vehicle, which as I am to understand, is what happens in California.

Balls.

I'm making Kipfel, maybe. We'll see how it comes out. I (we'll) see.
